The dimensions of a 1.5 cubic ft box is 18” x 12” x 9.5”. A 2 cubic ft box is slightly larger with dimensions of 18” x 15” x 12.5”.
These boxes are ideal for packing smaller items that are heavy such as books, files, cutlery, etc. One of the worst mistakes that you can make is packing all of these heavier items into a very large box as it will be nearly impossible to move and even if your mover can lift it, the bottom of the box will likely break apart and dump all of your contents onto the ground. As a general rule of thumb, try to keep boxes to a weight of no more than 50 lbs.
Always remember to label your boxes on both the top and the sides with a brief description of the contents and the intended room at destination to make your move more efficient and unpacking a lot easier.
